Assignments

In the first three years of the video series, we gathered sixty assignments from artists working in a wide range of places and with an even wider range of approaches to art making. In these episodes, we introduce you to an artist who presents you with an assignment and contextualize the activity with relevant works from history. Each of the episodes serve as an open call for your response, whenever and wherever you are in a space to do them. These can and should be used in the classroom or in any learning setting (on your phone at the bus stop, etc.), intended as an introduction to an artist, an entry point to works from art history, and prompts for making art.
